The Murphy PowerCore® IX3212 by Enovation Controls is a compact, sealed, solid-state power distribution module suitable for a range of applications requiring consolidated I/O and simplified wiring.


Murphy IX3212Designed as a superior alternative to existing relay and fuse boxes, the IX3212 provides 12 high current solid-state outputs: capable of switched, proportional or h-bridge control, with built in over-current protection and shut-down.

The device communicates over the CAN Bus with proprietary control messaging;  allowing a remote controller read data from its 12 digital and 8 analog sensor inputs, and drive its outputs. This system of multiplexed I/O greatly simplifies wiring requirements, while the lack of physical fuses and relays almost completely removes potential for physical failure.

The IX3212 features a compact, ECU-style enclosure designed to resist vibration, dust and liquid ingress.

The IX3212 can both simplify and provide increased reliability over existing relay and fuse setups, or be used to provide complex control systems with a range of flexible and configurable I/O.


Real-world examples of the IX3212 include:

  • Replacing a power distribution centre in an off-highway industrial vehicle with one or more IX3212 modules, redirecting signal wires into the digital inputs of the PDM and driving loads via the outputs. The advantages of this upgrade are: removes the need for most physical fuses as outputs are protected by automatic over-current protection, removes all mechanical relays to reduce chance of mechanical failure, reduces physical real-estate by replacing a number of independent components with a single IX3212.
  • Pairing the IX3212 with a Murphy PowerView® Controller such as the PV380 and utilising it to drive a number of hydraulic solenoids on a piece of industrial machinery. The PV380 display is mounted in the cab or at eye level for an operator while the IX3212 is mounted near to the solenoids, to simplify harnessing. The PV380 can provide manual or logic-based automatic control of the hydraulic system in an efficient and simple system.
